Emotional Magnetism and the Real Value of Emotional Intelligence
HOW TO heal the sacral chakra.
There is so much talk about emotional intelligence these days. But even with this topic being in vogue I don’t think many of us realize the true value of this form of intelligence. Before we had language, so much of our communication was purely emotional expression- so we all have the foundation for emotional intelligence within us. It’s innate but many of us were not taught to develop it in a way that truly supports our wellbeing. Emotion is magnetic. We can use it to draw things to us, so feelings play a big role in our field of attraction. If the emotions we generate impact the people, situations and opportunities we attract into our lives, think of how much creative power we gain from cultivating emotional intelligence. To be emotionally intelligent is not only to be aware of what’s in your emotional field. It also means having the ability to discern what belongs to you versus other. It means having conscious control over how and when you respond to emotion, as well as having the ability to intentionally generate the emotions you want in your emotional field. This is one of many reasons to heal yourself at the level of the sacral chakra- because a healed sacral chakra can use emotional mastery to support the birth of our creative genius into the world. When I say creative genius I am referring to any any form of creation- from a child born out of love, to an artistic masterpiece, to an impactful business. An emotionally fluent sacral chakra receives critical information about oneself, others and the environment around us through our feelings- and has the competence to use use that information as a compass in life. The more we master our emotions the more in control we are of what and who we attract into our lives.
When the sacral chakra is wounded, we’re unaware- we don’t realize that our lives are a series of unconscious reactions to our feelings. We’re stuck on the hamster wheel of craving and aversion, chasing a feeling that can never be sustained, because emotion is impermanent. These dynamics are explored in more depth in The Healing Path of the Sacral Chakra: Integrating the Blinded Self” yet, so if you haven’t read that yet, start there and then return here for some additional, practical guidance.
