If you already read “The Healing Path of the Crown Chakra: Integrating the Divine Self” you know that the crown chakra holds the eternal paradox. It’s the home of the koan- the infamous riddles Zen Buddhist teachers give their students to demonstrate the inadequacy of rational thinking. When meditated upon, a koan can break the mind open, leading to a deeper state of awareness and providing a tailwind to enlightenment.
This is one way to actively work with the crown chakra.
The healing path of the crown chakra must challenge the intellect and exhaust the mind to the point of surrender to that which the mind will never understand. Crown chakra work can’t be forced, and the more you attach to the outcome you desire, the more frustrating it is. The goal of crown chakra work is surrender, so we can’t try too hard, because to surrender is to stop trying.
Until we surrender our efforts completely we haven’t fully surrendered!
And this my friends is the paradox I’m up against when I write a how to article about healing the crown chakra. How can I guide you to direct your efforts toward the attainment of something that cannot be attained through effort?
How can I tell you how to heal what is already whole?
The awe inspired state that we experience when we peek through the doors of the crown chakra cannot be manufactured with skills or practice. It is a spontaneous gift from the heavens. It is a lightening bolt. The timing is absolutely perfect and completely out of our control. It happens when we stop trying, and surrender our efforts.
A sip of existence through the crown chakra will make anyone believe in some form of God. It’s that profound.
And yet every single one of us experienced this miracle the moment we were born. We are all living expressions of one phase of the cycle of existence, as seen through the lens of the crown chakra.
