HOW TO Create Anything Through the Archetypal Lens of the Chakras
From wellbeing to world peace and everything in between
If you’ve been following my chakra series, you already know that I’m writing about the chakra system as an invisible framework that the material world sits upon. I think of the chakras as a subtle form of human anatomy, and just as every organ in the body plays a unique role in the workings of the body, every chakra has a unique perspective on self, other, the world around us and reality as a whole. I’ve been writing about the themes of the chakras in the context of human health, and how the wound patterns and healing paths of each chakra impact our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experiences. But it’s important to remember that holistic health is not limited to the individual body, mind or emotional field.
Holistic health is a dynamic concept and once we cross the bridge of the heart chakra, the whole self includes others, the environment and the material world around us.
Given this understanding, health is so much more than the absence of illness or injury. Health should, and in my option is, inclusive of everything the we create and are impacted by. So whether our goal is pain relief, vitality, a sense of purpose in life, loving partnership, prosperity or world peace, it’s all part of our health.
In my last post, I wrote about the distinction between creating, manifesting and healing, so if you missed that one, start there because that piece will provide the context for the guidance I’ll offer in this one.
Every single one of us is the creator and the created. We create through physical actions, mental faculties, emotional magnetism and spiritual influence. We also experience what we’ve created physically through sensation, mentally through our thoughts and beliefs, emotionally through feelings, and spiritually through intuition, symbol and vibration. To be the creator and the created at the same time is a holistic phenomenon. It requires all four quadrants of self and it requires that we balance agency and will with receptivity and presence.
In other words, we must be conscious of what we want to create in the world, intentional about how we create it, AND we must be present and receptive enough to experience what we’ve created. We have to listen through our senses and feelings to get feedback about what we’ve created.
If this sounds complicated, pause for a moment and think about how many different things are going on in your body right now … Every organ system in your body is hard at work, maintaining homeostasis through a specific mechanism. Simply staying alive in a body requires ongoing physical transformation, perfectly coordinated physiologic functions, a symphony of biochemical reactions and more.
If the process of creation created us this way, why would we expect creating the world around us to be any simpler?
This is where the chakras come in. The chakra system provides seven distinct mechanisms of action in the creative process. When we understand the workings and dynamics of each chakra we can consciously create the world around us at will.
Just as every organ in the body plays an important role in creating (conception), sustaining (pregnancy) and birthing new life, every chakra contributes something unique to our bodies, lives and the shared reality we generate, organize, sustain and destroy.
So whether you’re healing, manifesting or creating, here’s what you need to know about the chakras and how to consciously use them to support your ability to create the life and world you dream of.
