At the level of the root chakra, the smallest of actions (with the right amount of consistency) can yield the most transformational results, and this is because the root chakra is the foundation that all of you is built upon. The root chakra is the very beginning- the conception of you, so unresolved wounding here will inevitably contaminate every aspect of your being and your becoming. No area of your life is spared from this wound- from relationships, to career, to health and body image, to your home and finances. And I’m not saying this to discourage you. I’m saying it to EMPOWER you- because if you apply just a little bit of attention to this particular healing path, the results will be profound. The entire landscape of your life will change. And you may not need 20 years of therapy, anti-anxiety medications, family constellations, cord cutting exercises, plant medicine ceremonies, rebirthing or hypnosis. The healing path of the root chakra holds the simplicity of a newborn. It requires love, presence, consistency and care- but it’s not THAT complicated. When I think of the impact of unresolved root chakra wounding on one’s life I think about what happens if NASA is even just 1/10th of a degree off when charting a rocket’s path to a specific destination in space. Early on in the rocket’s journey, the error is negligible, but as time goes by and the it gets farther and farther from the Earth the degree to which it deviates from it’s path becomes exponentially problematic and increasingly difficult to reconcile. The older we get the more intimidating it becomes to confront these root chakra issues for that very reason. So if this work feels overwhelming and you don’t know where to start, I’m here to tell you that the smallest of actions here can yield the most transformative results of your life.
If you haven’t already read The healing path of the root chakra: integrating the forgotten self, please start there so you understand what I’m talking about when I refer to root chakra wounding. If you have already read that piece, you are in the right place and this piece will provide the next steps on that healing path. You see the first step of every healing path is awareness. We have to become conscious of the wound so that we can tend to it, and often these wounds that I’m be writing about throughout this series are so old that they’re buried in blindspots and we can’t even remember the original injuries.
