Thinking about the words I use is something I am very aware of and have been for a while. I think I was really made aware of it during my early childhood development courses and continued in my customer service career. We were taught when running a classroom to tell the kids what you want them to do instead of what you don’t want them to do. For example instead of saying “stop running” you would say “I need you to walk” or something similar. The same was/is true in retail/customer service. Instead of telling someone “I can’t do that” or “we don’t have that” you would say “I can do ___ for you” or “we do have ____”. Basically turning negatives into positives. I think becoming aware of these things made me more aware of the way I communicate with everyone. I definitely still have the guilt though and tend to hold back telling people when good things happen. I also never thought about reframing my words at medical appointments so I will definitely work on that. I am loving this series as well. Thank you so much!😊

I love that you were doing this with children- especially because they are so sensitive to our language and you were modeling how to use your words with intention. I'll bet the ripple effect of that will go farther than you can ever imagine. Thank you for that!

I am loving yoyr series on the chakras- thank you! I’m probably not the only one to think this, but I can identify dysfunction on all of the levels you’ve written about so far~ root to throat(!) Seems like I’m a candidate for a total chakra overhaul…. ;-)

Congratulations you are human! 🤣 Thanks for mentioning this. I think we all can because these patterns are universal- we all have all of them and while most of us may have one or two that are more pronounced than the rest, we should all be able to relate to all of them. That’s why I love this system- because it’s a never ending well of self discovery. Thanks for being here and I hope you like the last 2!

Oof, I’m guilty of creator’s guilt! I never saw it so clearly as I do now. Thank you.

Hello! I am a new subscriber to your Substack and was delighted to see this post on the fifth chakra, especially about ways to reframe how I communicate at medical appointments. I am working on the language I use around my health in general to be more affirming of health and this post is perfect for me right now! I'm looking forward to going back to read the whole chakra series and to learning more from you!
